Last Rites Tribute V.2**
This is a tribute to the Mai Kai Last Rites created in 2016 by Jim "Hurricane" Hayward. The original Last Rites was created by Mariano Licudine in 1956 and has been retired from the Mai Kai menu. For comparison, here is the official Last Rites recipe from Beachbum Berry's Sippin' Safari.
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz passion fruit syrup
1/4 oz Falernum
3 oz Aged Martinique rum
6 oz crushed ice
Blend exactly 5 seconds
A bit tart but rapidly grew on me. Enough Blackstrap to taste it but not enough to be overpowering. Passion fruit also predominant. Not what I would describe as balanced, but definitely tasty. 5/5 stars
