Perfect Drink® recipe

Hurricane (Original)

Purported to be the original Hurricane recipe as created in the mid 1940s by Benson "Pat" O'Brien and his partner Charlie Cantrell in New Orleans' Pat O'Brien bar. Other sources credit the concoction to head bartender Louis Culligan who published the recipe in 1956. Modern versions of the drink may also contain orange juice, lime juice, pineapple juice, grenadine, and any number of other ingredients. (By the way, if 4 oz of rum is too much, you can fool the PerfectDrink by pouring 2 oz of rum then carefully adding crushed ice to make it think you added the remaining 2 oz of rum)

A bit too tart to be considered balanced, rather passion fruit forward. Still very good, 4/5 stars
