Shrunken Skull
This simple classic Tiki drink dates back to the 1950s.
This drink was probably originally made with cheap bottled grenadine. Research shows that, as early as the 1920s, American grenadines were little more than food coloring and sugar syrup. I feel that a good homemade grenadine overpowers the drink. But then again, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be any better with the bottled high fructose syrup and red dye #40. Surprisingly well balanced for the amount of grenadine but not a very complex drink. 3/5 stars
