Vesper
The Vesper was created by fictional secret agent James Bond in Ian
Fleming's 1953 novel Casino Royale.
Bond named it after Vesper Lynd, who explained to Bond that she was born on
a "dark and stormy night." Vesper
is Latin for "evening." The actual recipe is credited by Fleming to his
friend Ivar Bryce.
