Mai Tai
The Mai Tai was reportedly created by Victor Bergeron, creator of the Trader
Vic's restaurant chain, in 1944. It's name derives from the Tahitian
phrase "Maita'i roa ae!" which
means "Very good!." The Mai Tai
has became synonymous with tiki culture after many tiki themed bars and
restaurants in the 1950s and 1960s began serving them.
