Cognac Sazerac
Early versions of the Sazerac cocktail were made with cognac until the
Phylloxera epidemic wiped out French vineyards in the 1870s. Rye was then
substituted and the change stuck. Cognac is no longer so hard to come by, so
give the original version a try.
