Catalina Dressing
Store-bought Catalina dressing brands are thick and flavorful, but often contain preservatives or other unhealthy ingredients. Fortunately, this dressing is easy to make at home and you can adjust the spices according to your taste. This version is sweetened with agave nectar instead of sugar, which gives it a smoother consistency and makes it lower on the glycemic index. This sweet and tangy Catalina pairs perfectly with garden salads, but it also makes a great chicken marinade.
