Ciabatta
Ciabatta is a relatively new yeasted Italian white bread, having been first created in 1982. The name ciabatta means slipper in Italian. As Ciabatta has traveled it has acquired many regional variations, from firm and dense to crisp and open. This version is an American version that is more open textured.
