Dulce de leche ice cream

Dulce de leche is a popular treat in Latin America that translates literally to candy made of milk. It seems that just about every country across the globe has there own version of this sweet confection. For this recipe we have chosen to cook it in the form most commonly used in Russia which is to boil the milk submersed in water. This method is one of the most simple as the milk has almost no risk of burning. Be sure to keep the cans of milk completely submerged in water while they cook and allow them to cool completely before removing them.
