Buttermilk Honey Oat Bread

This slightly sweet bread has an excellent crust. It makes for a great sandwich bread or even french toast. If you don't have any buttermilk on hand you can substitute by making your own. Gently warm an equal portion of milk as the recipe calls for buttermilk. For each cup of milk add 1 3/4 tsp cream or tartar OR 1 tbsp lemon juice OR 1 tbsp white vinegar. Allow to curdle then use in place of buttermilk.
